Beginning this fall, Saturday Symphony will bring together dedicated young musicians ages 14 and up (8th grade and older) from across Northwest Indiana to perform in a full symphony orchestra.

This auditioned ensemble offers students the rare opportunity to rehearse and perform a wide variety of symphonic repertoire, from great orchestral masterworks to exciting film scores and modern favorites. Students will develop advanced ensemble skills, musical artistry, and confidence while experiencing the excitement of performing great music with other passionate young musicians.

Saturday Symphony is directed by Andy Anderson, professional bassist with the Lyric Opera Orchestra of Chicago and professor of double bass at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Drawing from his experience as a professional performer and educator, Andy will guide students in developing the musicianship, teamwork, and performance skills needed to perform at a high level.

Whether your student plans to pursue music professionally or simply wants to experience the challenge and excitement of performing with a symphony orchestra, Saturday Symphony provides a rewarding opportunity to grow as a musician.
