Entry Audition Requirements
(Symphonic Orchestra)
First Stand Audition Requirements
Ready to take a leadership role in our Symphonic Orchestra? First-stand placements for all instruments will be determined by a brief audition.
Audition excerpt (all instruments):
Handel — Concerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 7, Movement II (Allegro)
Tempo: quarter note = 134
Prepare the excerpt with clear articulation, consistent tempo, and confident phrasing. This placement determines rotating principal and co-principal chairs.
